Nature • History • Tourism • Agriculture

Alexander & Ann Sloane have drawn upon the extensive archival, natural and historic assets of their family property to offer tours, audio-visual products, and books. Savernake Station is a working historic pastoral property, 20 minutes north of Lake Mulwala, on the Murray River at Yarrawonga.  The central natural box/pine woodland is highly biodiverse, offering wonderful opportunities to explore an untouched species-rich environment.  Our current bird species count is 132.  Marsupials are frequently sighted, plus many more species.  The Heritage listed Homestead features 23 rooms of authentic family displays, depicting the story of the Station from pioneering days.  The tour guide provides a full commentary throughout.  BYO food and drink (hot water provided).  Indigenous cultural sites offer special insights into the pre-European history, including nearby Boat Rock reserve.  The unique 1912 working woolshed and outbuildings are the centre of our agricultural enterprises.
