Country Fire Authority (CFA)

The CFA is a volunteer and community based fire and emergency services organisation. CFA are wholly committed to rhe prevention, preparedness, response and recovery phases of emergency situations, providing a diverse range of risk reduction, fire suppression and incident managment services to minimise the impact of fires and other emergencies in Victorian communities.

NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS)

The NSW Rural Fire Service is a volunteer and community based fire and emergency services organisation. The RFS is the lead agency in combating bushfires and enabling the community to be better prepared and protected from bushfires. RFS volunteers are also responsible for structure fires in rural fire districts, including over 1200 villages.

The Service has many responsibilities as the leading agency for bushfire management and mitigation in NSW, and also supports other agencies in emergency situations, such as transport accidents, flood and storm and search and rescue situations.
